Virtual House Concert Series: Music Salon Live

Since live music in pandemic is not possible in the venues we love and count on, including the Music Salon, I have created a new virtual house concert series, featuring a wonderful lineup of talented musicians that streams live from the Music Salon Facebook group page.
The Music Salon Live Virtual House Concert series on Thursday, May 21, 2020 featured Bernie Drury, JStu, Trace Ellis, Kaoruko Pilkington, Daniel Haight and Churck Vermette.

One of Linda's visions was to create a warm and welcoming place to share music and community.  Music is a wonderful medium to connect with others. And bringing together musicians to build musical community is a very special thing.

As Linda chose a new home in Waltham, MA, one of her goals was to have a space that could serve as a Music Salon, hosting informal gatherings where musicians could jam, as well as house concerts, inviting musicians to play before a receptive audience in an intimate setting.

Since November 2014, the Music Salon has been hosting monthly gatherings to build community through music and art. The Music Salon offers an intimate house concert, beginning with a potluck dinner. A featured visual artist shares their work, followed by music. Linda Marks is the “house band,“ who opens for the featured musical act.

The Music Salon has also hosted other community events, such as holiday parties for the Boston Association of Cabaret Artists and a Women in Music gathering.
